Our Founder
William “Bill” Burkett
1959-2022
A native of Orlando, Bill Burkett was beloved and respected by many in Central Florida’s civil engineering community. We are grateful to him for leaving a legacy of honesty and integrity built during his ownership of Burkett Engineering, starting more than 30 years ago, in 1993.
Bill passed away on Feb. 17, 2022. Clifford Alejos, PE, worked with Bill Burkett at the time, and partnered with former colleague, Sean Hickman, PE, to purchase the company on Aug. 11, 2022. Burkett Engineering now does business as AH Burkett Engineering.
Our goal is to continue Bill Burkett’s legacy of “Engineering with Integrity” by providing top-class service to our clients and building lasting relationships with them. As Bill often said, “engineering requires mastery,” and we aim to bring that mastery to the work we do each day.
