FAQ

Our PEs are licensed in the State of Florida, so AH Burkett can perform engineering duties anywhere in the state.
We are a full-service civil engineering firm, so our abilities in-house apply directly to those duties. However, we maintain excellent relationships with some of Central Florida’s best surveyors, geotechnical engineers and architects, and are happy to refer you to them or employ them as a subcontractor on your project.

All we’ll need is your property address or parcel ID number, plus any reports, studies or previous permits. From there, we can glean the information we need to answer your questions and provide a scope of services for your project.

We work with one of the best environmental consultants in the business. Prior to our meetings with them, we conduct a due diligence on the project as well as a permit search history through the water management district to assess environmental impact and ensure compliance.

No project is too big or too small! We can work with most budgets and would be happy to show examples of similarly sized projects with their final budgets to give you an idea of what your project might cost.
We use the latest in project management software to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and assigned to the correct personnel who will guide you through the job through completion.
Our due diligence process is thorough and transparent. We do permit search histories, review of existing surveys, GIA Maps and historical data. We also offer the opportunity to provide new survey information, environmental assessment, and floodplain modeling as a service to our clients.
Your project will be assigned to a project manager who will be your point of contact throughout the process. If there are any changes in personnel during the scope of your project, you’ll be notified as soon as possible and introduced to your new point of contact to ensure continuation of services.
We provide our clients consistent updates stemming from municipal meeting updates, latest comments on plans and designs, as well as questions with project schedules on a Gantt chart so clients can follow along in real time.
During a full due diligence report, many concerns and potential risks can be identified. This is followed by a pre-application meeting with the authority having jurisdiction to determine permitting needs and identify potential risks.

Check our Projects page, where you’ll find a selection of our most recent portfolio of projects, including residential (multi- and single-family), institutional and commercial land development.
