As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to strengthen our industry presence and drive new business opportunities. 

Position Overview 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers, and increasing the firm’s visibility in the industry and community. This role requires a proactive professional with strong networking skills, CRM expertise, and experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to connect with potential clients. 

Key Responsibilities 

Lead Generation & Relationship Building 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers in construction, land development, and architectural firms. 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and online outreach. 

  • Follow up on leads promptly and strategically nurture relationships to convert prospects into clients. 

Event Coordination & Community Engagement 

  • Coordinate and attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the firm and expand business connections. 

  • Maintain an active presence in local business and professional organizations relevant to civil engineering and development. 

CRM Management & Reporting 

  • Maintain and update the firm’s CRM system with leads, contacts, and follow-up activities. 

  • Track and analyze lead generation efforts, providing regular reporting on engagement, conversion rates, and business opportunities. 

LinkedIn & Digital Outreach 

  • Actively engage with industry professionals on LinkedIn to increase brand awareness and develop business relationships. 

  • Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and connect with potential clients and track engagement. 

  • Share relevant industry insights, company updates, and thought leadership content to enhance brand credibility. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in civil engineering, construction, or a related industry. 

  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build rapport with industry professionals. 

  • Proficiency in CRM software and lead tracking. 

  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar digital prospecting tools. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
